“Whereas youth sports and recreational activities contribute to over 21 percent of all traumatic brain injuries;
Whereas athletes of all ages and levels deserve to be educated and to become aware of the importance of brain health;
Whereas the seriousness of traumatic brain injury in athletes should not be minimized;
Whereas traumatic brain injury can affect physical, mental, and social health, and a greater awareness and understanding of proper diagnosis and management of concussions is critical to improved outcomes;
Whereas the House of Representatives can raise awareness about traumatic brain injury among the medical community and the public:”
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide for the tax treatment of ABLE accounts as established under State programs for the care of family members with disabilities, and for other purposes.
Tax Advantaged savings accounts that can fund disability expenses: Section 529A of the Internal Revenue Service tax code.
To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for standardized post-acute care assessment data for quality, payment, and discharge planning, and for other purposes.
